Shirley Beck Lawson

Shirley Jeane Beck Lawson, age 78 of Aberdeen Drive, Lexington passed away Friday afternoon June 5, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Lang officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm in Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Wednesday night. Shirley was born in Davidson County March 4, 1937 to William Andrew and Macy McCaskill Beck. She was a homemaker and a member of Full Gospel Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Lawson in 2009, sisters, Oledah Duncan and Betty Queen, brother, Bobby Beck. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Lawson of Lexington; grandchildren, Jackie smith (Angie), Tabitha Ascencion (Larry) and Steve Smith (Amy); 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vada Williams of Lexington and Joyce Gordon of Atlanta, GA.
