Shirley Leonard Lohr

Mrs. Shirley Leonard Lohr, 74 of Southmont, North Carolina, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 in the High Point Regional Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday April 25, 2009 at Holly Grove Lutheran Church with Pastor John Mocko officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Shirley was born March 18, 1935 in Davidson County to Thurman Lee Brower and Lib Thomason Tetter. She was a retired secretary with Bob Timberlake Galleries. She was a member of Holly Grove Lutheran Church where she had served as church secretary, Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Church Council, a member of the Agape Ladies Circle, and on the staff of the Church Newsletter. Shirley had taught a confirmation class for the Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother Bobby Lee (Squeaky) Brower. She is survived by her daughter, Freddie Fulbright and husband Kevin; by sons, Herb Lohr and John Lohr and wife Susan all of Lexington. She is also survived by the father of her children, Fred Lee Lohr and by grandchildren, Karl Fulbright and Lindsey; Jennifer Lohr, Anna Lohr, Alison Lohr, Whitney Lohr and Kara Lohr; a great grandchild Aio Fulbright. Also surviving are a sister Darlene Parsons and husband Don of Lexington, Special Nieces Beth Harris and Beverly Young and Best Friend Jim Thomason. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.
