Shirley Hoelzle Parks

Beloved mother, Nana, great Nana and friend passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 22, 2026, in Lexington North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Tyro Methodist Church with Pastor Randy Foster officiating.

Interment will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Shirley was born January 17, 1932 to Paul and Ethel Hoelzle in Sharon, Pa. She was the Apple of her father’s eye and their bond was evident to all who knew them. It was through this bond that she cultivated a deep and abiding love for God that carried her through life’s ups and down’s. Her favorite saying was “let go and let God”.

Shirley’s warm presence and nurturing left an undeniable mark on everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She excelled at being “Nana” to her grandchildren and bonus grandchildren Stephanie (Joe), Courtney, Nick, Noah, Ryan (Stephanie), Michael as well as Taylor and “Great Nana” to Cameron, Alex, Jonathan and Paxon. They were her ultimate passion. Shirley’s passing leaves a void in the heart’s of all who loved her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Paula Megert of Westerville Ohio, son Tom Tribley (Beth) of Lexington, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as countless friends and her cherished church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, adoring husband, Ed Tribley, second husband, Bill Parks, cherished son-in-law Jon Megert, beloved grandson Michael Megert as well as a daughter-in-law Chrissy Tribley.

As we say goodbye, we celebrate the life of a woman who was the beacon of love and kindness. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family that she loved so much, and the many friends she made of this earthy journey.
