Shirley Ann Holeman Reich, 78, of Enterprise Road, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Grayson Creek.
A celebration of life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Faith Church 1077 Gumtree Road, Winston Salem NC 27107 where she was a member, with Pastor Michael Gates. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and again following the service.
Mrs. Reich was born September 4, 1935, in Person County, to Charlie Clarence Holeman and Blannie Elizabeth Berry Holeman. She was a graduate of Baptist School of Nursing. She was a nurse at Dr. McNeil’s Practice in Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Wayne Reich.
Surviving are her loving husband having celebrated 57 years this past March, Clayton Sylvester Reich of the home; daughter, Carolyn R. Kepley and husband Peanutt of Lexington; grandchildren, Stephanie Hammond and husband Jessie of Winston-Salem and Jennifer Wiles and special friend Tyler of Durham; great-grandchildren, Amadahy Hammond, Jomei Hammond and Onyx Hammond of Winston-Salem; sisters, Marie Duncan and husband Pello of Oxford and Nancy Boyd and husband Bobby of Newton-Conover; and special friend, Becky Snider whom they loved as their grandchild.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Grayson Creek for their love and support during mom’s illness and final days. Their compassion and thoughtfulness made her final days memorable ones.
