Shirley Garren Truitt

Shirley Truitt age 77, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, November 14, 2022, at Pilgrim Reformed Church with Pastor Richard Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive family and friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm prior to the service in the church parlor.

Shirley was born in Cherokee County November 28, 1944, to Wade Lawrence Garren and Maude Almond Garren. She retired from the Civil Service and was a member of Pilgrim Reformed Church. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth Garren, Sisters, Freida Garren and Evelyn Wade.

Surviving are her husband David Pierce Truitt Jr., daughters; Reina Moseley, Stacy Dembitsky (Michael), sisters Jennie Stanford, Bonnie Stokes (Rayborn), five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to; Pilgram Refomed Church, 797 Pilgram Church Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
