Shirley Kersey Weaver

Shirley Kersey Weaver, 72, of Wall Street, died April 26, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center.  The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Meadowview Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Chris Bitterman officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.  Mrs. Weaver was born November 9, 1944, in Jacksonville, FL., to Roger S. Kersey and Mildred Vick Kersey. She was retired from the American Red Cross where she had served as a clerk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lacy Thomas Weaver, who died in 2012; and a brother, James R. Kersey.  Surviving are sons, Roger Weaver of Lexington and Chris Weaver and wife Danielle of Greensboro; daughter, Robyn Weaver Bruton and husband Richard of Camden; four grandchildren, Rebecca Bruton, Ryan Bruton, Kylee Weaver, and Camryn Weaver; brother, Sammy Kersey of Chapin, SC; and sisters, Vickie Dixon and husband Tommy of Welcome, Wanda Leviner of Gastonia, and Cathy Kersey of Chapin, SC.
