Sidney Humphrey

Sidney Humphrey Sr. 72, of Russell St., Lexington passed away Friday August 18, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.   A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Lexington City Cemetery with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.   Mr. Humphrey was born on June 7, 1945 to Oza Humphrey and Hattie Bell Edward Humphrey.  He was a retired supervisor for Duke Energy. Preceding him in death was his parents, four brothers, Gray Humphrey, Billy Humphrey, Walter Humphrey, Johnny Humphrey and a sister, Patsy Crotts.   Surviving are his wife, Brenda Kiger Humphrey of the home; a son, Sid Humphrey, Jr.(Anne) of Linwood; two grandchildren, Andrew Ryan Humphrey, Cameron Seth Humphrey; and a brother, Bobby Humphrey (Dorothy)
