Sidney Jarvis Hunt

Sidney Jarvis Hunt, 81, of Floyd Church Road, died Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Hinkle Hospice Home. A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Floyd Baptist Church, with the Revs. Charles Dickens and Barry Surratt officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the home of Priscilla Hege on Lexington Thomasville Road. Mr. Hunt was born January 15, 1930, in Davidson County, to Sidney Franklin Hunt and Lilly May Bell Worrells Hunt. He was a retired truck driver for Sealy; a member of Woodmen of the World; and served in the National Guard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Owen Hunt. Surviving are daughters, Priscilla Hege and husband, David, Tammy Weaver, and Cindy Kluttz and husband, Nathan, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Christopher Hege and wife, Kristy, of Mt. Airy, Brandon Hege, Crissie Weaver, Lyda Couzzins, and Elijah Kluttz, all of Lexington; and great-grandchildren, Benjamen Walker, Jada Foster, Xavier Spivey, Jewel Spivey, all of Lexington, Whitley Hege and Skylar Hege, both of Mt. Airy. Memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292; or Floyd Baptist Church, General Fund, 2145 Floyd Church Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
