Sidney Mcguire

Dwight Sidney McGuire, 66, of Markwood Lane, died Thursday, February 28 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.    A funeral service will be held at 11am Monday, March 4 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Richard Johnson.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.    The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home.    Mr. McGuire was born October 31, 1952 in Davidson County to Dallas Dwight McGuire and Martha Lee Harris McGuire.  He served as housekeeping supervisor for Brightmoor Nursing Center in Salisbury and a member of New Testament Baptist Church.  Sidney is preceded in death by his father.   He is survived by his wife, Sonya Dare Thomason McGuire and mother Martha Lee Harris McGuire of the home; his special children, Amanda Howard and Cody King, who loved him very much. His sisters, Dianne Huthens (Jerry) of Lexington; Elaine Ghabbour (Magdy) of Oxford, MI, and Angela Bolander (Tom) of Flint, MI., as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.   In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292.
