Sidney Michael Samuels, 32, passed away on October 7, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Sidney was born on March 30, 1994, in Thomasville, North Carolina, to Gerald Samuels and Tonya Amberson. Sidney was a light in so many people's lives. His presence brought joy, warmth, and comfort to those around him, and his kindness reached further than he may have ever realized. He had a special way of making people feel loved and cared for, and his heart left an imprint on everyone he encountered. Weather through a simple gesture, a helping hand, or simple being himself, Sidney made a difference in the lives of so many. The light he brought into this world will never fade, because it will continue to shine through the memories, love, and stories shared by everyone whose life he touched.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Gerald Samuels and Tonya Amberson; his husband, Ark Elvardo; and his sisters, Naiobe Patterson and Yakima Hopkins.

Sidney's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and loved ones. Though his time here was far too short, the love and memories he leaves behind will be treasured always.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday November 6, 2026, at God's Acres in Thomasville.

Visitation will be held from 12:45 to 1:45 Friday November 6 prior to the Grave-Side Service at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington.
