Levi Barney

Stacy Levi Barney, 86, of Davidson County, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at his home on Lexington. He was born on June 29, 1939, in Davie County to the late Jim and Beulah Boger Barney.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, September 15, 2025 at Shiloh Church of Lexington, with Pastor Paul Perkins officiating. Family with visit with friends in the church cemetery following the service.

Levi retired as a truck driver from R.J. Reynolds and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of his career, he found great joy in gardening. He loved not only tending to his plants but also sharing the fruits of his labor with friends, family, and neighbors. His generous spirit and warm smile will be fondly remembered.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Cole Barney; his son, Randy Keith Barney; his parents; and his brother, Tony Barney.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Mickey Barney; brothers, Bobby Barney, Jimmy Barney, and Gardy Barney; sisters, Allie Richardson and granddaughter, Cyndi Neil (Eric); 4 great grandchildren; along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Stacy’s life was marked by hard work, love for his family, and a simple joy in the everyday blessings of life. His memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
