Stan Charles

Darrell Stanley Charles, 53, of Holly Grove Road, died Friday, August 28 at his home after declining health. Mr. Charles was born October 3, 1955 in Davidson County to Billy Darrell Charles and Peggy Stiers Charles. He had worked in security until his retirement. His father preceded him in death. Surviving are his mother of Lexington; his sister, Sandra Charles Tucker and husband, Doug, of Boonville; his brother, Dr. James Craig Charles and wife, Martha, of Rock Hill, SC; his nephews, Harry, Jackson, and Sam Charles; and his good friend and co-worker, Jimmy McInerney. There will be no public service, however, the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
