Stanley Henry Lapinski

July 29, 1929 — August 3, 2009

Stanley Henry “Stan” Lapinski, age 80, beloved husband and father of Gray Road, Lexington, NC passed away Monday (8-3-2009) at his home after a brief illness. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Gaynell, their family and his many friends all over the country. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday (8-12-2009) at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with Father Al Gondek officiating. Inurnment at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.   Stan was born in Allegheny County, PA, July 29, 1929 to Anthony Lapinski and Stella Skindzier Lapinski.  He worked with AT &T for 30 years and was a retired PGA Golf Teaching Professional for over 26 years in Florida and Las Vegas.  He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and a veteran of the US Army having served in world War II.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Stanley James Lapinski who died in the line of Duty in Iraq June of 2005.   Surviving are; wife Gaynell “Gaye” Davison Lapinski of the home, a daughter Christina Duvall and husband George of Denver, NC; a son, Russell Lapinski and wife Katie of Danbury, NC; grandchildren, Lily and Mia Duvall and Jesse and Zach Lapinski; four great-grandchildren.   There will be no formal visitation.   Memorials should be directed to Naples VFW Post 7369, Attn.
