A Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by Revs. James Capps, Myra Ward and Dr. Robert Floyd. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Estella Evelyn Robertson was born on June 7, 1915 in Dyersburg, TN to Alonzo and Mamie Robertson.  The family moved to Davidson County when Stella was a young girl.  She met John “Reid” Yountz and they married and had five children.  They lost a son, Jackie, at the age of 13, to an accident. Stella was devoted to her family and spent much time with them, especially with the grandchildren and the little ones. Her family takes great comfort in knowing that she was a committed Christian, and her walk with God was a positive example to all who knew her.  She loved her church, Trinity United Methodist, and supported it as long as she was able. She was an avid flea market seller and loved to collect, buy, and resell antiques or anything considered old.  Flowers were also a passion for her, and she kept beautiful flowers and plants everywhere. She provided her family enjoyment through expressing her creative talents in cooking, story-telling, and poetry and song writing.  Some of her poetry has been set to music and officially copyrighted. In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her son Jackie Yountz, husband John Reid Yountz, Sr. and brother William (Bill) Robertson. Surviving are her brother, Joe Robertson (Nellie).  Sons: John R. Yountz, Jr. (Louise), Charles Yountz (Vickie) of Lexington.  Daughters: Evelyn Holt (Earl) of Gastonia and Nancy Simerson (Kenneth) of Lexington.  Sister-in-law Frances Yountz of Southmont.   Grandchildren:  Robert Yountz (Samantha), Steven Yountz (Tena), Faye Alexander (Billy), Janet Felker (Leonard), Terry Simerson (Patima), James Simerson, Chris Yountz (Stephanie), Laura Yountz, all of Lexington; Cathy Couick of Archdale; Myra Kirkland (Mark Pickford) and Carol Calvert of Charlotte; and Jay Holt (Becky) of Raleigh.  Also, 19 Great-Grandchildren; 13 Great-Great-Grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Davidson Funeral Home, 6-8 PM Monday, and other times at the home of John R. Yountz, Jr., 805 White St., Lexington. The family extends a heart-felt thank you to all of the loving and supportive staff at Alston Brook Nursing Home who showed much compassion to our Mother. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 902 S. Main St., Lexington, NC 27292.  Attn:  Donese McBride.   “See You Tomorrow, God Be Willing”
