Stephen Louis Pierce

Stephen Louis Pierce 64 of Lexington passed away Tuesday morning, September 20, 2011 at Hinkle Hospice Home. A funeral service will be held at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel on Friday, September 23, at 2:00 p.m. with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree and other times at the home. Mr. Pierce was born on July 14, 1947 in Davie County to James Louis Pierce and Mildred Creason Pierce Ham. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Amvets #13 and American Legion Post 8. He retired from RJ Reynolds. Also preceding him in death were one daughter, Janet Pierce Whiteside, sister Gaye Everhart and a granddaughter Haley Stovall. Surviving are his wife, Edna Pope Pierce of the home; two sons, Michael Foster and Shane Everhart; a stepson, Michael Capps; stepdaughter, Karol Stovall and husband Tommy; two brothers, Charles Pierce and wife Linda of Mocksville, James Pierce and wife Stella of Lexington; one sister, Ginny Moon and husband Ralph of San Francisco Ca.; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and one step grandson Casey Stovall.
