Stephen "Steve" Allen Leffew

Stephen “Steve” Allen Leffew, 69, of Lexington, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Jeff Burleson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow the service at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery with full military honors.

Steve was born on May 25, 1955 in Ohio to the late J.W. Leffew and Mary Lou Leffew, who survives. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Susie Marie Sadler Leffew, and a sister, Jeanie Collins.

Steve honorably served his country in the United States Army. He spent his career as a clamp operator for Lexington Furniture Company for over 30 years before his retirement. He dearly loved raising and taking care of his goats over the years and enjoyed spending time outside with them.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 10 years, Deborah Beck Leffew; son, Jason Allen (Carol) Leffew; mother, Mary Lou Leffew; step-son, Jonathan Burleson (Aimee); grandchildren, Tracie Leffew, William (Holly) Leffew,  and Wesley Burleson; brothers, Charlie Leffew, John Leffew, and David Leffew; sisters, Kathy Gordon, Lisa (Ed) Coble, Pam Church, and Laurie (Mark) Martin, and numerous extended family who will all miss him dearly.
