Stephen “Steve” Charles Sink, 77, of Clyde Fitzgerald Road in Linwood, passed away Thursday December 16, 2021 at his home.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday December 19, 2021 at Linwood United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Charles Lindquist Jr. conducting services.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.
Steve was born February 29, 1944 in Davidson County to Bright Immanuel Sink and Annie Lee Fitzgerald Sink. He graduated from Catawba College, then received his Master’s Degree in math from Wake Forest University and went on to become an outstanding math teacher. All of Steve’s students enjoyed having him as a teacher and a friend. In his spare time , Steve was an avid fisherman, enjoying fishing for red drum at Cape Hatteras, leading the hunting and fishing club at Central Davidson and even helped build a few houses. After retirement he enjoyed taking care of and being devoted to his animals. Steve will be greatly missed by all those that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa Jones Sink, of the home; his son, Adrian Sink of Lexington; a brother, Tommy Sink of Lexington; and a sister, Barbara Lister-Sink Pfafftown; and his niece Chloe Fitzgerald Plumb of New York City.
