Stephen Dewitt Wood

Stephen Dewitt Wood, age 80 of Lexington, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Macedonia United Methodist Church Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:00AM.

Stephen was born on April 10, 1943, in Forsyth County, NC to George Hardin and Arie Brewer Wood. He proudly served in the United States Navy then went on to work as a machinist for Westinghouse. Stephen was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, son, Bryan Wood, Sr. and brothers, Wayne and Billy Wood.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Dianne Heffington Wood, of the home; daughters, April Lynn Wood of Lexington, and Angel Dawn Bailey of Statesville; brother, Rodger Wood of Wallburg. and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macedonia United Methodist Church, PO Box 190 Southmont, NC 27351.
