Steven S. Dalton, 51, of Country View Drive in Lexington, passed way Friday February 20, 2015 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point following a courageous battle with lung cancer. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday February 24, 2015, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, with Pastor Ryan Bennett officiating services. The family will receive friends from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm Tuesday at Davidson funeral Home. Mr. Dalton was born February 9, 1964 in Patrick County, Virginia to Henry Dalton and Claudine Handy Dalton. He was employed with Fort Worth Carrier’s as a Truck Driver and was of the Christian faith. Surviving is his wife Charm Dalton of the home; one son, Nick Byerly and wife Meranda of Lexington; three brothers; Leonard Dalton and wife Tanya of Danville Virginia, James Dalton and Jerry Dalton, both of Patrick Springs Virginia; two sisters, Catherine Beasley and husband Jim of Reidsville North Carolina and Peggy Bowman of Patrick Virginia; one granddaughter, Ashlynn Byerly; and twenty two nieces and nephews. In lieu flowers, memorials be made to the Ashlynn Byerly Trust Fund at BBT Bank. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. George Sanders and Dr. Barry Seltzer at the High Point Cancer Center.
