Steve Frye

William Steven “Steve” Frye, 59, of Highway 101, Beaufort, NC, died Sunday at VA Medical Center in Durham. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 4 at Bethany United Methodist Church by Rev. Allan Van Meter. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Frye was born September 5, 1947 in Davidson County to William Norman Frye and Lucille Starr Frye. He retired from Wrangler and had served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He served on the North Carolina Safety School Board and was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, of Lexington and his sister, Patty F. Laughton of Beaufort, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
