Steve Franklin Hinkle, 75, of Kinloch Drive in Winston Salem, passed away Sunday September 18, 2022 at the Hospice Home of High Point.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Shady Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Dr. Tom Mabry conducting services.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church sanctuary.
Mr. Hinkle was born February 12, 1947 in Davidson County to Grover Clayton Hinkle and Beatrice Jordon Hinkle. In his spare time, Steve loved playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Karen Hinkle.
Surviving is his wife Paula Swain Hinkle, of the home; three sons, Chris Hinkle (Marie) of Florida, Kemp Smith (Brittany) of Linwood and Stan Smith (Katie) of Winston-Salem; one daughter, Ashley Dembowski (Alex) of Charlotte; two brothers, Farrell Hinkle (Ruth Ann) of Welcome and Gary Hinkle of Winston-Salem; and 11 grandchildren, Ryan Dembowski, Kaitlyn Dembowski, Serena Hinkle, Evan Hinkle, Chloe Hinkle, Kensley Smith, Hayden Smith, Adalyn Peele, Lola Smith, Sadie Smith and Stryker Smith.
