Steven Henry Johnson

Steven Henry Johnson, 62, of Lexington Health Care formerly of Klap Drive, died Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem following a six month illness. A private memorial service with close family and friends will be Sunday, May 31, 2015, at the home of his loving sister, Karen Tysinger. Mr. Johnson was born May 17, 1953, in Pensacola, Fl., to William Clarence Johnson and Martha Owen Lewis Johnson. He was a superintendent for M.J. Boyle Construction prior to his illness. Steve loved baseball, and fishing with his sons and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys football fan. Steve is survived by his daughter, Alexis Kathryn Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; sons, Andrew Spencer Johnson and Marc Sinclair Johnson, both of San Antonio, Texas; his former wife and best friend, Betty P. Johnson; a brother, William Michael Johnson and wife, Connie; sister, Karen Tysinger and husband, Ray; special nieces whom helped to care for him, Gina Allen and husband, Doug, Leslie Tysinger, Kate Cogar and Kelli Allen whom he lovingly referred to as Little Bit; many other nieces and nephews; and many long time faithful friends who visited him often. He was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his children and will be missed by each of them and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
