Steven "Steve" Curtis Honeycutt

September 22, 1960 — November 27, 2010

Steven “Steve” Curtis Honeycutt, 50, of Spartan Drive, lost his courageous battle and went home to celebrate with Jesus, Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Hinkle Hospice House, following an eight month illness. The funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Pardue officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mr. Honeycutt was born September 22, 1960, in Davidson County to Joel Curtis Honeycutt and Margaret Scarce Honeycutt. He was a Group Leader/Chemist at Valspar Corporation for 28 years; a Deacon for Christ and member of Clearview Baptist Church; and a member of Archdale Bass Club. Mr. Honeycutt was also a founding member of CAADC; for many years he was a much loved coach; and Upward program director. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Beverly Kay Tucker Honeycutt of the home; sons, Matthew Honeycutt and Daniel Honeycutt, both of the home; daughter, Christina Honeycutt of the home; brothers, David Honeycutt, Michael Honeycutt, and Jeff Poage, all of Thomasville; and his grandmother, Grace Scarce of Newton. The family would like to thank the community for all their love and support shown to Steve and his family.
