Steven Allen Thompson

Steven Allen Thompson, age 65, of Lexington, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Josh Gentle officiating. Burial will follow in the Phillips Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home.

Steven was born on June 11, 1959, in Davidson County to the late Edward Anderson Thompson and Annie Belle Riley Thompson. He was a lifelong resident of the area and the proud owner and operator of West Lexington Services for 31 years. Steven also served over 20 years in the West Lexington Fire Department. He was known for his dedication, work ethic, and friendly spirit.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Ray Thompson, and sisters, Mildred Thompson and Helen Thompson Yoder.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia Thompson, of the home; son, Eddie Thompson (Jennifer) of Lexington; daughters, Melinda Thompson (Ryan) and Kristina Kinley (David), both of Lexington; beloved grandchildren Gracie, Makinley, Emma, Devon, Cameron; his brother-in-law, Robert Yoder, and several nieces and nephews.

Steven will be remembered for his love for family, his service to the community, and the quiet strength he brought to all who knew him.
