Stokes Everhart

Thomas Stokes Everhart, 85, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014, at his home. A celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Michael Bowers and Byron J. Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2014, at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mr. Everhart was born February 28, 1929, in Davidson County, to Thomas Walter Everhart and Gracie Lee Everhart. He was retired from Chemical Coatings and a member of Rich Fork Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Helen Leonard Everhart; two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are daughters, Susan Shields and husband Donnie of Colfax, Sandra Sink and special friend Brad Bowers and Cindy Beck and husband Leonard all of Lexington; two grandchildren, Chad Shields and Paul Kinney and wife Tonya; great-grandchildren, Logan Kinney and Olivia Kinney; sister, Mildred Essick and husband Garland of Lexington; and sisters-in-law, Myrtle Whittington , Anna Leonard , and Mary Catherine Leonard .
