Stokes Hege, Jr.

Stokes Elwood Hege Jr., age 73, died Friday, September 24, 2021 at his home.

A graveside service will be held 11 am, Wednesday at Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Pastor Rick LaBaube. The family will receive friends in the cemetery after the service. Mr. Hege will lie in state Tuesday from 2 pm to 4 pm at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Road for anyone to view and pay their respects.

Mr. Hege was born November 18, 1947 in Davidson County to Stokes Elwood Hege SR. and Hazel Hinkle Hege. Stokes served in the US Army, a member of the American Veterans, Post 0013, Davidson County since 1969 and a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Stokes was an avid NASCAR fan. He worked on multiple NASCAR pit crews over the course of 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife; Linda Sue Hege, daughters, Crystal Byrd (Bobby), Valerie Williams (James); five grandchildren, Kendall, Chloe, Cora Byrd, Lindsey, Gunner Williams all of Lexington, NC.
