Stuart Judson Sexton

August 13, 1969 — January 1, 2021

Stuart Judson Sexton, 51 of Lexington entered into the kingdom of heaven on January 1, 2021 at Novant Forsyth Medical Center after an extended illness of a year. Mr. Sexton was born on August 13, 1969 to Sandra “Peggy” Perrow Sexton and Don Ray Sexton.

A Celebration of Life  Service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Cartrette Conducting and livestreamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome . Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, limited seating is available and masks are required.

Stuart graduated from Lexington Senior High School in 1987. He was an avid football player for the Lexington Yellow Jackets all through his high school career, and even obtained a championship ring in 1986 for his team standing at 35-7. Mr Sexton worked many years as a bouncer at various places throughout North Carolina. He took pride in keeping others safe. He later obtained his certificate of completion for the N.C. Bail Agents Association in September of 2006.

Stuarts hobbies included drawing, dancing and making people laugh. His most precious moments in life always involved being around his family whom he cherished dearly. Stuart had a huge heart and loved everyone. He would always be willing to help anyone in need. He was preceeded in death by his father, Don Sexton who died Nov. 26, 1997.

Surviving are his mother; Sandra “Peggy” Perrow Sexton of the home; Sister Sharon Smith, two nieces Brandy Smith Hollman (Tad) and Hannah Cockerham, Four great-Nieces, Gracie hollman, Chloe Hollman, Skyler Walker and Isabella Cockerham and one great-nephew; Elias Walker all of Lexington. One aunt, Linda Grubbs (Wayland) of Lynchburg, Va and a special friend of the family, who was like another sister, Cheryl Laxton whom gave unconditional love, support and help from the very beginning.

A special thanks to the team of frontline workers at Forsyth Hospital for doing everything they could for Stuart while being so very compassionate.
