Sue Griffin Campfield

Nora Sue Griffin Campfield, age 77, of Coble Circle, Lexington, died Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at her home.  A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Friday, September 12, 2008, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Leon Simmons officiating. Burial will follow.  Mrs. Campfield was born January 23, 1931, in Burke County to Arthur Griffin and Gertrude Watson Griffin.  A former employee of Dixie of Linwood, she was of the Baptist faith. She loved to be with friends, shopping and had several hobbies and interests.  Preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Ralph Campfield, Jr. and a sister, Ruby Mann. Surviving are her husband, Ralph Johnny Campfield of the home, daughters, Ann Griffin of Kernersville, NC  and Brendel Pruitte and husband, Ron, of Mooresville, NC; six grandchildren, Gerald McDaniel, Ronald McDaniel, Brian Griffin, Karyn Griffin, Lynn    Pyrtle, Pam Hill; 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, and a brother, Dewey Griffin of Walhalla, SC There will not be a formal visitation, however, friends may view the body at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME from noon until 2:00 pm Friday   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
