Sue Carter

Sue Carter, age, 76 passed away early Wednesday morning in Atrium Health Lexington Medical Center. Sue was born on October 17, 1947 in Davidson County to Harry Cope Massey and Mary Edith Everhart Massey. She retired from the Davidson County School System having taught at Central Middle School. She also had a great love of animals and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister Patricia Ann Massey and a step sister Tanya Johnson. Surviving her are a step sister Debbie Spillman "Kenny", Stepbrother; Steve Vestal "Sandra" all of Mocksville, and dear friends Bobbye Bradley and Jill and Andy Leonard all of Lexington. A celebration of Sue’s life will be held, Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 11:00 am at Macedonia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tammy Talbert officiating. Sue requested that donations be made to the Davidson County Animal Shelter.
