Sue Berrier Weaver

Sue Berrier Weaver, 91, of Payne Road, Lexington, N.C. went home to be with her Lord on March 31, 2025, at her home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel with Reverend Dale Johnston and Reverend Benny Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, from 5 PM-7 PM.

Sue was born October 1st, 1933, in Davidson County to Marshell C Berrier and Beulah Byerly Berrier. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church, where she taught ladies' Sunday school class in past years. There was nothing she loved more than to be studying God’s word and telling others. She made flower arrangements for her church for many years. She loved God, her beautiful family, and her church. She retired from Duracell Battery in 2000, where she enjoyed her job for 40 years.

Sue was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Denisa Faye; her husband, Archie E Weaver, who passed in 2004; her beloved son, Steven Weaver, in 2018; her brother Robert Berrier; her sister Patsy Louya and husband Johnny; and her sister Edna Hester and husband, Ernest.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Joyner and Susan Bassett and husband Ricky, a daughter-in-law, Sarah Weaver, five granddaughters, Stephanie Louya, Rachel Lee, Kristin Birchette, Meghan Tripken, and Ashley Solan, one grandson, Matthew Joyner, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 2710.

Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel has been entrusted to care for the family during this time.
