Suellen Garrison

Suellen Garrison, 78, of Lexington, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022.

Services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 1:00 PM at True Light Baptist Church, 316 Odell Owen Rd. Lexington, NC. 27295, with Pastor Harold Harper and Rev. Jerry Carl officiating. A visitation will be held before the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the church. A committal service will follow the funeral at Forest Hill Memorial Park, 1307 W. Hwy 64 Lexington, NC 27295.

Suellen was born on June 2, 1944, in Belmont County, Ohio, to the late Theodore and Florence Shaw. She was a homemaker for most of her life for her family, whom she adored. She was also a member of True Light Baptist church. Suellen is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 59 years, George Garrison of the home; one daughter, Tamisue Daye and husband Chuck, of Morganton; three sons, George (Wes) Garrison Jr. of OH, Linsly (Dale) Garrison and wife Dee, of VA, and Keith Garrison and wife Darlene, of VA; two brothers, Robert Shaw and wife Joyce, and Bill Shaw; one sister, Sheila Carl and husband Jerry; ten grandchildren, Chadd, Brittany and husband Jason, Jessica and husband Kasey, Derrick and wife Megan, Arik Koker and wife Magan, Keith Jr. and wife Indy, Andrew and wife Angela, Cheyenne and wife Liz, Haley and husband Jacob, and Logan; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
