Susan Church

January 26, 1952 — November 8, 2022

Susan Bean Church, 70, of First Circle, Lexington, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Hinkle Hospice House after a short illness.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park on Friday November 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Susan was born in Denton, NC on January 26, 1952 to Efird Lee Bean and Edith Williams Bean. She worked for many years with Lexington Furniture at various plants. For the last 25 years she was employed at Food Lion on Talbert Blvd where she developed many friendships with the loyal customers. She was known as Mrs. Food Lion and everyone knew her as “the little short spunky lady” at Register 1.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Bruce Bean.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Robert Church of the home; a daughter, Crystal Langston (John) of Lexington; grandchildren, Hayley Everhart (Corey) of Clemmons; Dylan Langston (Destiny); and Wesley Langston of Lexington; a special bonus granddaughter, Ariyonna Johnson of Lexington; great grandchildren, Riley and Caleb Everhart of Clemmons; and a sister, Carolyn Hulin of Denton.

Susan leaves behind a couple of special ladies whom she loved dearly; her sister-in-law, Debbie Church of Lexington; and her special friend, Robin Tysinger of Lexington.

Susan is also survived by John Ferrell, Branson Ferrell, John Robert Ferrell and Harleigh Ferrell.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to Thomasville Medical Center Radiology Department, Piedmont Digestive Associates, Dr. Baker of Denton and Adam, Jolinda and Allie from Bayada Home Health and PT.

The family can never thank the staff at Hinkle Hospice House enough for all the great care and love they’ve shown during her illness.
