Susan Dorsey

Susan was born August 13 ^th , 1956 to Doris Vivian Brinkley Wade and Thomas Robert Dorsey, Sr in Kinston, NC.  She devoted her life to the service of others, professionally as a dedicated nurse, as well as a trusted friend. She had a fulfilling and distinguished career as a Registered Nurse committed to the specialty of long-term care.  Susan was a volunteer at Open Door Ministry in High Point, NC.  She possessed a mother’s heart, a listener’s ear, and an advisor’s wit. Susan was an exceptional and compassionate soul that will be missed by all that knew her.

She was predeceased by her father and mother, and brother Michael Edward Dorsey. Left to cherish Susan’s memory are her daughter, Christina Torres, of High Point; son Francisco Torres and wife Chiquita of Knightdale; brother Thomas Robert Dorsey, Jr and wife Ionia (Onie) of Lexington; and sister Barbara Jolly and husband Alan of Mt. Vernon, Il and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Freedom Baptist Church located at 214 Hillcrest Ct, Lexington, NC.
