Sylvia Hill Beam

Sylvia Gay Hill Beam, 72, of Midway, died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery, by the Rev. John C. Woods Jr. Mrs. Beam was born August 23, 1935, in Davidson County, to Joe Marvin Hill and Naomi Weavil Hill. She was a member of Midway United Methodist Church and enjoyed flowers and gardening. Surviving are her husband, Larry D. Beam of the home; daughter, Sharon Beam of the home; and brothers Kay Hill and wife, Ruby and Toby Hill and wife, Susan, all of Midway. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Midway United Methodist Church, 9795 Old Highway 52 South, Lexington, NC 27295 or charity of the donor’s choice.
