Sylvia Story Holdren

March 19, 1940 — March 3, 2017

Sylvia Jean Story Holdren, 76, of Swing Dairy Road, died Friday, March 3, 2017, at Missions Hospital in Asheville.  A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Gavin Pratt. Entombment will follow. The family will receive friends at the home of her son on Winding Ridge Lane.  Mrs. Holdren was born March 19, 1940, in Davidson County, to Daniel Martin Story and Janie Virginia Musgrave Story. She was a member of North Lexington Baptist Church and had worked at Link Taylor in the finishing room. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son, Robert Bowers; grandson, Daniel Bowers; and brothers, Norman Story and Jimmy Story.  Surviving are sons, James Bowers (Joy) and Donald Bowers (Debora), all of Lexington; daughter, Carol Seagle (Steve) of Lexington; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Joann Brendle and Evelyn Brendle.
