Sylvia Williams Koonts, 81 of Lexington, NC passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
A celebration of life will be held, 3:30 pm, Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Light House Baptist Church.
Mrs. Koonts was born April 17, 1945, in Barbour County, Alabama to Robert and Lessie Williams. Sylvia loved being in nature and enjoyed the mountains and going to the beach.
Surviving are her husband, Roger Dale Koonts of the home and a daughter, Sallie Stanfield of Lexington.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Randy Yawn, brother Bobby Williams, sisters, Marjorie Teal, Mertice Shirley, Annie Pelham, Sue Hopson and Catherine Moore.
