Sylvia Swicegood Myers

Sylvia Annis Swicegood Myers, 79, of Davis Drive in Lexington, passed away Wednesday July 29, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.

A private funeral service will be held Saturday at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Murphy officiating services. Burial will follow at Reeds Baptist Church.

Mrs. Myers will lie in state from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, on Friday July 31 2020 at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends at the home on Friday from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm  and Saturday following the service.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be limits to follow as no more than 50 people may be in the building at one time and must wear a mask and use social distancing of 6 feet.

Mrs. Myers was born October 21, 1940 in Davidson County to Lawrence Lemuel Swicegood and Mozella Temple Swicegood. She was retired from Duracell and enjoyed providing childcare for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Donald James Myers.

Surviving are three daughters, Donna Murphy (Todd), Amy Lutz and Sherri Bost, all of Lexington; one brother, Charles Lynn Swicegood (Betty) of Lexington; 8 Grandchildren, Jeremy, Sierra, Luke, Beth, Katie, Allison, Madelyn and Mark; and 11 great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Janessa, Jacob, Nathaniel, Liam, Abigail, Kayleigh, Braedon, Regan, Nicholas and Clayton.
