Sylvia Patricia Utt

Sylvia Patricia Thomason Utt 81 passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Hinkle Hospice House.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm  at Good Hope United Methodist Church with Revs. Joseph Fulk, III and Jim Prichard, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree and other times at the home. Sylvia was born in Davidson County on May 3, 1936 to the late Orville Lee Thomason and Leona Mize Thomason.  She worked at Manhattan Shirt Co. and Edgewood Apparel.  Sylvia was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church and was also preceded in death by a brother, Orville Lee Thomason, Jr. and a sister Jane Thomason Beeson. Surviving is her husband David Utt of the home; a son, Micah David Utt, Sr. (Elizabeth) of Lexington; a daughter, Sonia Prichard (Jim) of Sandy Ridge; seven grandchildren, April Bentley (Jay), Micah Utt, Jr. (Katie) Jennings Prichard, Jimmy Prichard, III  (Misty), Stephanie Taylor (Jeb), Jeremy Prichard (Kelly), Christianne Walker (Dwayne); fifteen great-grandchildren, Ethan, Isabelle, Danielle, Caleb, Tori, Ava, Curtis, Cassi, Connor, Ryan, Cameron, Holden, Christian, Lucy, Easton. Memorials may be made to Good Hope United Methodist Church, 10253 Hampton Rd., Lexington, NC  27295. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
