Tacoma Dare Hawkins

April 5, 1928 — July 2, 2019

Tacoma Dare Church Hawkins, 91, of Lexington passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington   A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 5th at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Joe Malar officiating the service.  No visitation will be held.   Ms. Hawkins was born on April 5, 1928 in Caldwell County to Williard Vann Church and Hassie Emma Hodge Church.  She retired from Dacotah Mills and was a member of Wayside Baptist Tabernacle.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Thurman Hawkins; sisters, Betty Lou Lackey, Etna Dean Parker and Dorothy Koontz; and brothers James Church and Walter Lee Church.   Surviving are her daughter, Judi Sechrest (Bill); sister, Margaret Lucy Church Cannon and grandchildren, Charles Gregory Sechrest and Brian Ray Sechrest.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
