Tammy Kiger

Tammy Ann Smith Kiger, 59, of Lexington, passed away peacefully at her home on March 29, 2026.

Born on June 26, 1966, in Davidson County, North Carolina, Tammy was the daughter of Edom Tart Smith and Patricia Reeder Smith.

Tammy was a beautiful soul with a deep love for bird watching, the outdoors and animals. She found joy in nature and treasured the quiet moments it brought her. Above all, her greatest happiness came from time spent with her family. She cherished her husband, adored visiting her three children, and found immense joy in her granddaughters. She was especially excited, anticipating the arrival of her grandson. Tammy’s kindness was boundless, and her love for others was profound and unwavering.

She is preceded in death by her loving father, Edom Tart Smith. She is survived by her devoted husband, Wesley Grant Kiger; her sons, Michael Edom Kiger (Stephanie) and Matthew Caleb Kiger; her daughter, Tamaria Leigh Rogers (John); her mother, Patricia Reeder Smith; her sister, Amy Marie Fink (Scott); her beloved grandchildren, Sophia and Lacie Rogers; as well as her cherished nieces and nephews.

A private viewing and memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at North Lexington Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Gavin Pratt. 

Tammy will be remembered for her loving heart, her gentle spirit, and the meaningful moments she shared with those she loved.
