Ted Stanley Baker, age 74 of Maxwell Drive, Lexington, died Friday morning in
Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm
Saturday (June 9) at First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Wilson. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park, with military flag presentation by US
Army Honor Guard.
Ted was born in Kershaw County, SC November 14, 1922, to Clyde and Maude Baker.He was a member of First Baptist Church, and a retired salesman for Salem Steel in Winston Salem and a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Rochella Cook Baker who died January 15, 2004, with Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Surviving are, loving Daughter Wendy Myers of the home; Grandson
Staff Sergeant Joe Myers, and his wife Sergeant Natalya both serving in Iraq and based out
of Fort Bragg; Jason Myers of Charlotte and his dear friend Tyler Hollifield, Great Grandson Cameron Myers and a sister Cecilia Thompson of Pinehurst, NC
The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:00 pm Saturday in the Parlor of First Baptist Church and at other times at the home.
