Ted Joseph Sink age 77 of Winston-Salem passed away Monday afternoon at his home after he fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Visitation will be Thursday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at Grace Baptist Temple where he was a member. The service will be conducted by Rev. Ed Sears. Burial will be 11:00a.m. Friday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with military grave side rites.
Ted was born March 8, 1933 in Forsyth County to Ruth Sink Jarvis. He was a retired mail carrier with the U. S. Postal service, and a long standing member of the NALC. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean Conflict. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold “Toby” Sink.
He is survived by his wife Joan Moore Sink of the home; one son Todd Sink and wife Michelle of Clemmons; two daughters, Dawn Hullette and husband Donnie of Winston Salem, and Kim Koontz and husband Alen of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Koontz, Jaime Burgess, Jordon Koontz, Sidnee Hullette, Kelsey Hullette, Lyndsey Holmes, Emily Bibb, McKenze Sink and Rylee Sink; two great-grandchildren, Baylei Burgess and Austin Holmes.
