Theodore “Teddy’ Pepper passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter and son-in-law/caregiver, on September 17, 2024, in Lexington, North Carolina. He was 88 years old and a lifelong resident of Worcester, MA until May 2022.

He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Margaret Collett Pepper, on March 24, 2022, and his parents Nicholas A. Pepper and Elizabeth A Korkus Pepper of Worcester.

He is survived by brothers James Pepper and Nicholas Pepper Jr. of Worcester, and sister Judy Pepper of Fort Myers, FL.  He leaves four children: Sandra Hebert and her husband Peter of Lexington, NC., Kate MacKinnon of Baltimore, MD., Nancy Wood and her husband Dave of Port Saint Lucie, FL., and Kevin Pepper of Warwick, RI.  He also leaves grandchildren Sean Hebert and his wife Alicia of Rock Hill, SC., Ryan Hebert of Lexington, NC., and Cali Pepper of Warwick, RI., and great grandchildren Emma, Colin, and Brynn Hebert of, Rock Hill, SC.

Mr. Pepper was a Korean War Era veteran of the Air Force serving 4 years, was a truck driver for Yellow Freight and Associated Transport and was a member of Teamsters Local 170 in Worcester, Massachusetts.  He was lifelong fan of the Boston Bruins, New York Yankees and New York football Giants, loved playing golf in his younger years, and scratching lottery tickets.

Mr. Pepper never met a stranger he wouldn’t talk to and chatted with people everywhere he went.  A private memorial will be held in the future, at the convenience of the family.
