Teenie Black

Mrs. Christine “Teenie” Lambeth Black, 91, formerly of Westover Drive, died Friday, February 22 at Alston Brook Nursing Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 26 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. A private inurnment will be held at the First United Methodist Church Columbarium. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday prior to the memorial service. Mrs. Black was born March 4, 1921 in Davidson County to Joshua B. Lambeth and Frances Hedrick Lambeth. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was married to Richard Earl Black, who preceded her in death on December 28, 1997. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Black McKinney and husband, Alan, of Apex; her son, Richard E. Black, Jr. and wife, Kim, of Lexington; her grandchildren, Morgan McKinney Loughridge and husband, Cody, of Holly Springs, Grayson P. Black of Kernersville and David Black of Tuckerton, NJ; and her great grandchild, Beau Ross Loughridge of Holly Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s North Carolina, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh NC 27609 or to First United Methodist Church, 310 S. Main Street, Lexington NC 227292. The family wishes to thank the staff of Alston Brook Nursing Center for the exceptional care given to our Mom during the past few years.
