Teresa Leonard Beck

January 5, 1963 — April 2, 2024

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, Teresa Leonard Beck, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of God, peacefully departed this earth to be with her Lord and Savior. Surrounded by her adoring family at her home, Teresa transitioned from this life into the everlasting arms of her Heavenly Father.

A funeral service celebrating Teresa's life will be held at 2 pm on Monday, April 8, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Welcome, where she worshipped and served faithfully, with Pastors Jonathan Goodman, and Dr. Chris Griggs officiating. Following the service, Teresa will be laid to rest in the Church Cemetery.

There will be no formal visitation.

Teresa was born in Davidson County to Pierce Hatley Leonard and Frances Everhart Weaver, Teresa's journey was marked by a deep commitment to her family, her community, and her faith. Throughout her life, Teresa exemplified a spirit of service and love. As a former office administrator at Davidson Funeral Home and a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Welcome, Teresa's compassion and kindness touched the lives of many. Her dedication to serving the Lord was unwavering, even in the midst of battling sickness. Teresa's faith shone brightly as she shared the Gospel with those around her, even in hospital rooms or doctor's offices. In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her brothers, Franklin Leonard and Timmy Leonard, and her sisters, Rhonda Nifong and Diana Covington.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 40 years, Edward Obadiah Beck; her daughters, Samantha Warth (Sebastian) and Emily Figler (Mitchell); and the precious grandchildren who were the light of her life: Adalay Warth, Luna Warth, Arden Warth, and baby Figler on the way. Her grandchildren affectionately called her "Yaya," a title that reflected the special bond they shared with their beloved grandmother. Teresa's love for her family knew no bounds, and her legacy of love and faith will continue to guide and inspire them in the days ahead.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be directed to First Baptist Church of Welcome at 404 Welcome-Arcadia Rd, Lexington, NC 27295, in honor of Teresa's dedication to her church family and her unwavering faith in God.

As we bid farewell to Teresa, we take comfort in the knowledge that she has been welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father, where she will dwell in eternal peace and joy. Though she may be absent from our sight, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her love, her kindness, and her faith. May her legacy be a beacon of hope and inspiration for generations to come, and may she rest in the everlasting glory of God's presence. Amen.
