Teresa Solomon Koonts

Teresa Carol Solomon Koonts, 55, of Old Pasture Road in Linwood, died Wednesday at the Hospice House in Salisbury. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday January 25, 2016 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rick Cockerham and Dr. Dale Robertson officiating services. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mrs. Koonts was born January 16, 1961 in Rowan County to Winford Reuben Solomon and Ruth Dolores Spry Solomon. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Auxiliary Gideons. She was preceded in death by her father. In addition to her mother, surviving is her husband, Jerry Koonts, of the home; a son, Michael Koonts and wife Crystal of Linwood; a daughter, Christie Smith and husband Frankie of Linwood; three brothers, Donnie Solomon and wife Scottie of Linwood, David Solomom and wife Tina of Salisbury and Eddie Solomon and wife Shari of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Justin Smith, Annalise Koonts and Brett Smith. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family at 390 Old Pasture Road, Linwood NC 27299.
