Teresa Diane Morgan Hutchens

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teresa Diane Morgan Hutchens, who left this world on Sunday, June 1st, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on Tuesday, October 24th, 1950, Teresa was a cherished resident of Lexington, NC, where she spent many years creating a life centered around love, kindness, and community service.

Teresa is survived by her daughter, Melissa Morgan (Brent), brother Jerry Morgan (Jerrielynn), sister in law Joanne Morgan, many special friends, and special cousin Bobby Morgan and his wife Peggy. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Leroy Morgan and Evelyn Margie Morgan; her brother, Steven 'Butch' Morgan; and her sisters, Kathy Burden and Elizabeth Fry.

Teresa was a dedicated worker at Tube Tex, where she was valued by many. She had an unwavering commitment to her community, as Teresa was known for her culinary skills, particularly her love for cooking meals during the holidays for those in hospice care. She was a frequent participant at fall festivals and a regular at local yard sales, where she found joy in discovering treasures. Her warmth and generosity left a mark on everyone she met.

To honor Teresa’s life, a visitation will be from 10 to 11 am, with a memorial service officiated by Pastor Jerry Beck starting at 11 am on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home. A committal service will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. We invite all who knew Teresa to join us in celebrating her extraordinary life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of Davidson County, located at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. Through your generosity, Teresa’s spirit and legacy of compassion will continue to touch the lives of others in need.
