Terry James Lanning

Terry James Lanning, 54, husband of Dusty Landon Lanning, of Beauford, SC, died Sunday Oct. 10, 2021 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital due to complications from Covid.

Funeral services was held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 in Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Terry was born on Feb. 3, 1967 in Lexington. He is the son of Norman Grady Lanning and Mary Newsome Lanning of Lexington, and the son-in-law of Etheleen Landon and the late Lowell”Buddy” Landon.

Terry graduated in 1987 from Central Davidson High School. Worked at several golf courses, one of which was Haig Point on Daufuskie Island. This is where he met his wife of 25 years.

Surviving in addition of his wife, Dusty and his parents; are four sons, Ryan, Kyle, Cody and Grayson Lanning; one daughter, Alayna Lanning; one brother, Allen Lanning (Karen), one sister-in-law, Misty Jennings (Richard Hopkinson) one brother-in-law, Wayne Landon, his beloved nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and dear friends.
