Terry Lee Owens, Sr.

Terry Owens, Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, in Lexington, NC, at the age of 69.

The family will be holding a private service in honor of Terry at a later date.

Born on October 17, 1954, to Robert Jasper Owens and Willie Mae Ransom Owens, Terry lived a life filled with love, kindness, and joy. He was a shining example of warmth and generosity to all who knew him.  Terry had a remarkable ability to connect with people, and his warm smile and kind spirit made him a friend to everyone he met. Whether sharing a laugh or lending a helping hand, Terry left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.

Terry retired from Davis Chevrolet as service manager, after 46 years of service.  He was a trusted and respected colleague and a favorite among customers. His work ethic and commitment to his career, family, and friends were admired by all who knew him.

Terry was a devoted and loving father to his children.  He took great pride in all their achievements and was always there with a guiding hand and a loving heart. His role as a grandfather was one that he cherished deeply and embraced wholeheartedly.

He is preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Ricky Owens.  He is survived by his children, Terry Lee Owens, Jr. (Lindsey), and Elizabeth Hayes (William), his grandchildren, Bonnie & Emma Hayes, Tuff and Olive Owens, brother, Harold Owens (Patti), and many special friends.

In honoring Terry's life, let us remember the joy he brought into the world, the love he shared, and the countless lives he touched. His memory will forever be a blessing to us all.
