Terry Wayne Penninger Sr.

Terry Wayne Penninger Sr., 72, of Yountz Road in Lexington, died Sunday October 8, 2017 at Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville.   A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday October 14, 2017 at New Friendship United Church of Christ with Rev. Alex Nance officiating services.   Mr. Penninger was born August 23, 1945 in Rowan County to John Frank Penninger and Willie Detta Cook Penninger. He was retired from Duke Power and was former owner of Penninger Tire and Wheel . Mr. Penninger was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hilda Mae Thomason Penninger, a brother, Leon Penninger and a sister, Debbie Misenheimer.   Surviving is a son Wayne Penninger and wife Peggy of Lexington; a brother, Barry Penninger and wife Yvonne of Florida, two grandchildren, Austin Penninger and Alexis Penninger and brother-in-laws Johnny Ray Thomason and wife Sally, and Martin Holder and wife Libby.
